The After School Education and Safety (ASES) Programs are provided by a grant of the same name from the California Department of Education. Each day our programs offer homework assistance, academically enriching activities, health and fitness opportunities, and opportunities for leadership, career and college readiness, and a place to make lifelong friendships. We look forward to having your student in our program.
The After School Education and Safety (ASES) Programs are provided by a grant of the same name from the California Department of Education. We operate programs at 10 different locations: Bryn Mawr, Clement, Cope, Franklin, Kingsbury, Lugonia, McKinley, Mentone, Moore, and Victoria.
Programs are open every day from the end of the school day to 6:00PM at Elementary Sites and 6:15PM at Middle Schools. We have developed a family-centered Early Release Policy to allow our students to be picked up early to participate in extra-curricular activities, go to health appointments, get home safely, and enjoy family time. You will need to complete an early release form each month in order for the program to comply with the policy and keep our grant funding.

All programs are provided for free. There are no registration fees for the ASES programs.
ASES programs are open every school day, including minimum days.
Our program capacity is based on the grant.
Registration is available online at https://bit.ly/RedASES
Space is limited. We recommend that you register early. Waiting lists are kept, and families are called as space becomes available.
A parent, guardian, or other authorized adult over the age of 18 must sign out the student each day. We follow a Timed Release schedule, where the program opens the doors for parents and guardians to pick up students at preset times. Your site will let you know what times you can pick up students. Please note that ASES is not like a childcare or daycare center and our funding for staff is very limited, thus there is not a receptionist for each program. Site Leads will open the door for parents to pick up as often as possible without keeping them from their responsibility to oversee the program, supervise staff, provide first aid, and tend to student issues.
